For the Owner of this website, the protection of Users’ personal data is a matter of the highest importance. Every effort is made to ensure that Users feel safe when entrusting their personal data while using the website.
A User is a natural person, a legal person, or an organizational unit without legal personality that is granted legal capacity by law and uses electronic services available through the website.
This Privacy Policy explains the principles and scope of the processing of Users’ personal data, the rights to which Users are entitled, as well as the obligations of the data controller. It also provides information on the use of cookies.
The Controller applies state-of-the-art technical measures and organizational solutions to ensure a high level of protection of processed personal data and to safeguard them against unauthorized access.
I. DATA CONTROLLER
The controller of personal data is Instytut Badawczy IPC sp. z o.o., with its registered office at ul. A. Ostrowskiego 9, 53-238 Wrocław, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs kept by the District Court in Wrocław, 6th Commercial Division, under KRS number: 0000850659, NIP: 8943156174 (hereinafter referred to as the “Owner”).
II. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
The Controller processes Users’ personal data for the following purposes:
- the proper performance of sales contracts concluded via the website;
- sending information about new products, services, promotions or special offers, provided that the User has given consent to receive commercial information;
- fulfilling legal obligations imposed on the Controller and performing tasks carried out in the public interest, including tasks related to security and defense or the storage of tax documentation;
- direct marketing of products, securing and pursuing claims or defending against claims brought by the User or third parties, as well as marketing of the Controller’s own services and products or those of third parties, where such marketing does not constitute direct marketing.
III. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
Personal data are processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, pp. 1–88.
The Controller processes personal data only after obtaining the User’s prior consent.
Providing consent to the processing of personal data is entirely voluntary.
IV. USER RIGHTS
The User has the right to:
- request information at any time regarding the scope of processing of their personal data;
- request the correction or rectification of their personal data at any time;
- withdraw consent to the processing of personal data at any time, without providing a reason. The withdrawal may concern a specific purpose of processing (e.g. withdrawal of consent to receive commercial information) or all purposes of processing. Withdrawal of consent for all purposes will result in deletion of the User’s account and all related personal data. Withdrawal of consent does not affect actions taken prior to its withdrawal;
- request deletion of personal data at any time without providing a reason. Deletion does not affect actions taken prior to the request and results in deletion of the User’s account together with all stored and processed personal data;
- object at any time to the processing of personal data, either in whole or in part (e.g. in relation to a specific processing purpose). An objection does not affect actions taken prior to its submission and results in deletion of the User’s account and all associated personal data;
- request restriction of processing of personal data, either for a specified period or without time limitation but within a defined scope. Such a request does not affect actions taken prior to its submission;
- request that their personal data be transferred to another entity. In such a case, the User should submit a request to the Controller specifying the entity (name and address) to which the data should be transferred and indicating which data should be transferred. After confirmation by the User, the Controller will transfer the data electronically. Confirmation is required for security reasons and to ensure that the request originates from an authorized person.
The Controller informs the User of actions taken in response to any of the above requests within one month of receiving the request.
V. ENTRUSTMENT OF DATA PROCESSING TO THIRD PARTIES
The Controller may entrust the processing of personal data to entities cooperating with the Controller, to the extent necessary for the performance of transactions, such as preparing ordered goods, delivering shipments, or sending commercial information originating from the Controller (the latter applies only to Users who have given consent to receive such information).
Except for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy, Users’ personal data are not disclosed to third parties or transferred to other entities for the purpose of sending marketing materials of such third parties.
Personal data of Users of the website are not transferred outside the European Union.
This Privacy Policy complies with the requirements set out in Article 13(1) and (2) of the GDPR.
VI. COOKIES
The website uses cookies or similar technologies (hereinafter collectively referred to as “cookies”) to collect information about Users’ access to the website (e.g. via a computer or smartphone) and their preferences. Cookies are used, among other things, for advertising and statistical purposes and to tailor the website to individual User needs.
